With the members arriving by a bus on the Saturday morning, everyone was keen to get all the gliders out and to get their heads into the clouds. The cadet were that keen to get flying they left the setup of the camp site up to the parents.
After a safety briefing, the members were shown how to transport the gliders to the launching point. They were then shown who to assist with launching a glider, and how to retrieve a glider. This was an effective use of time while the cloud cover was low. But once the clouds lifted, the members were off being launched into the air.
During the course of the day, each of the members took a turn in each of the main areas: launching a gliding, recovering the winch rope, recovering a glider and helping the winch operator.
After the gliders were put away for the day, the members settled in for Dinner and afterwards some nights games on the Grass Strip.
Once everyone was finished, the camp turned in for the night in their tents at the end of the Runway.
Sunday morning the camp woke to some early morning fog, the perfect time for some breakfast then for a safety briefing for the day. The camp helped bring the gliders to the launch point for the morning. Once the fog burnt off, the gliders were in the air, after a small break in the middle of the day to swap runways. The parents had their time in a glider.
At the end of Sunday, some First Aid, DP and Promotions were presented and the camp site packed down before everyone made their way back to Sydney.
